I am an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Mathematic at Virginia Military Institute. I completed my doctorate (2015) in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. My advisor was Prof. John Mitchell. My current research focus is stochastic optimization of disaster relief planning and operations. I have a M.S. (2010) and a B.S. (2008) in mathematics from Virginia Tech as well as minors in statistics and classical languages.

At VMI, I hold office hours at the Open Math Lab and served as the team advisor for 7 teams participating in the 2016 MCM/ICM Math Modeling Competition. Currently I serve as a member of the Committee on Academic Technology.
